I bought one new in 1995 (tsi awd) and sold it bone stock in 2004. It was completely ruined about 6 months later.

the first gen DSMs came out when I was in high school and I wanted one SOOOO BAAAAD but I had no money and parents weren’t willing to drop the coin for a brand new car for a teenager, so I didn’t get one until gen 2.

Too bad crack walk was a one year thing with bad engine block casting designs that they changed. Only on 2g engines.
